A new luxury lounge aimed at arriving passengers has been unveiled in Heathrow’s Terminal 4.

The Plaza Premium lounge, located in the mezzanine level between the arrivals and departures floors, features 25 luxury shower rooms, a lounge and bar area and a new dining concept, Flight Club, which puts the emphasis on healthy eating.

The lounge, which is also available to non-flying visitors, is currently charging £25 for one hour or £35 for a three hour visit. Many airlines offer arrival facilities for their premium passengers – but this is one of few available independently. They prove particularly popular after early morning flights and give travellers an opportunity to shower, freshen-up and prepare for a day’s work.

The Plaza arrivals lounge can accommodate up to 75 people at any one time and also features a slow pressed juice service, offering drinks that are nutritionally rich plus a variety of superfoods with the overall aim of boosting health and well-being.

Pauline Cheung, Regional General Manager of Plaza Premium Group United Kingdom and Europe said: “Plaza Premium Lounge Heathrow is committed to improving the customer experience for travellers and further enhance the experience of travelling.

“Our goal is to make every journey enjoyable not only on departure but also upon arrival too and we’re proud that the new Flight Club concept will be a key feature of this new lounge and demonstrates that we continually look to deliver a stellar service to our customers.”

The new arrivals lounge follows the continued success of Plaza Premium Group at London Heathrow Airport and the first step in the Group’s expansion plans for 2017.

John Arbuckle, Heathrow’s Head of Property said: “We are delighted to welcome Plaza Premium to Terminal 4 arrivals. This lounge is a quiet sanctuary for passengers looking to refresh and relax, ready for their onward journey.

“This arrivals lounge is part of our wider Terminal 4 enhancement to give our passengers great services that suits their every need.”
