American Express is to open a new lounge at Heathrow as part of its signature ‘Centurion Lounge’ network.

The new facility, which will be airside in Terminal 3, will be Amex’s first in Europe. Access to The Centurion Lounge will be complimentary and exclusive for Platinum Cardmembers and Centurion Members. Platinum Cardmembers will be able to enter with up to two travel companions at no additional charge. Centurion Members may enter with their immediate family or up to two travel companions. Platinum and Centurion Cardmembers may purchase access to The Centurion Lounge for further guests for an additional fee per guest.
Chris Cracchiolo, Senior Vice-President, Global Loyalty & Benefits, said: “Both in business and their personal lives, our Premium Cardmembers are living more globally, and we are committed to meeting their needs wherever they go. London has long been a top city our Platinum and Centurion Cardmembers travel through, so it made perfect sense to open our first Centurion Lounge in Europe and second location outside of the US, to Heathrow. We look forward to welcoming Cardmembers to our new Centurion Lounge location in Heathrow next year.”
John Arbuckle, Heathrow Airport’s Head of Property, said: “We are really proud to welcome Europe’s first Centurion Lounge to Heathrow. The lounge will offer a unique and premium experience for American Express customers and a comfortable haven, bringing to life the essence of modern British hospitality.”
