Jet Airways passengers heading to India for the Easter holidays are being urged to check their travel arrangements as the trouble-hit airline cancels flights to and from Heathrow.
Services to Delhi and Mumbai out of Terminal 4 have been halted along with the incoming connections. The airlines’ other international routes have also been impacted.
Heathrow advises passengers:“Please don’t set out until you’ve contacted your airline for advice. Telephone lines may be busy due to the disruption, so please try the airline’s website too”.
Jet Airways, founded in 1993, was once India’s largest airline but has contracted significantly in recent years because of financial problems and pressure from budget airlines.
Jet Airways says: “Due to operational
reasons, our flight schedule has been impacted. We realise that this has
affected our guests travel plans and truly regret the inconvenience.
We would like to assure you that our customer support teams are working 24×7 to ensure that our guests are re-accommodated on to alternate flights or provided with a full refund”.
