British Airways is set to reconnect London Heathrow with Melbourne through a new daily service, with flights operating via Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The London-to-Melbourne service is scheduled to begin on 9 January 2027, with return flights from Melbourne starting on 11 January 2027.

Flights will operate daily using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, with four cabin options: Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First Class.

British Airways has advertised return fares starting at A$1,960 for travel from Australia. Actual prices will depend on travel dates, cabin class and availability. Flights from London start at £1130 return.

For BA, the route marks a welcome return to Melbourne after more than 20 years.
