Iconic is an overused word but it certainly applied to Heathrow’s Control tower. A complex adjacent to terminals one and two. It housed office buildings, checkin areas, vip facilities and even a staff bar.
The nearby public viewing area was closed for security reasons and it’s days were numbered as development progressed, eventually being demolished to make way for the new Terminal 2.
