A totally new lounge for departing passengers in the ‘C’ area of terminal 5 has been announced by British Airways.
And it promises to be one of the most dramatic and luxurious departure lounges on the airport with stunning design features showcasing British workmanship.
The ‘C’ gate satellite area of the terminal reached by shuttle transit has been without a significant lounge since the terminal was built – even though it’s used by many of the airline’s long haul flights. An indication that it might be more regularly used in future.
And the new construction, which is due to open at the end of 2028, will be one of its most exciting yet.
It will have superb views of the airfield, perfect for aircraft enthusiasts, and will be dominated by a 17m bar – reputedly the longest of any airport lounge worldwide.
The project is part of an enhancement of the airline’s lounges throughout Heathrow.
